I am learning to live a life that revels in mystery and wonder. And doing this within the context of a growing journey into Orthodox Christianity. I want to be a person who encounters others with curiosity and love, knowing that each person I encounter is an icon of the Living God.
I was born a Protestant of the Southern Baptist flavor and I still have a deep love and respect for the teaching, preaching, guidance, friendship and love I received there.
The journey thus far includes…love, loss, confusion, anger, grief, elation, challenge, deeper love, endurance, joy, hope, perseverance, defeat, heartache, peace, more peace, frustration, and more peace. More adjectives on the way by the day. I am not a theologian. But I am a journeyman. With nervous and unsure hands, I will type out my experience.
